N

I thought the red velvet was a fitting farewell gift. It was our source of laughter. Our shared love over cream cheese and everything red. A reminder of the times we argued over nothing, and made fun of each other until one of us (read: I) got annoyed.

We created drama like it was our middle name. One minute we would be smiling and chatting away, the next we would pass each other by without as much as a glance.

But all in all, it was what made our friendship. We bickered more than old couples do, but we also forgave like saints, and in the end, we accept it as our quirky little way of bonding.

I will miss having someone I can call a friend around here. Red will always remind me of you and your obsession with my shoes.

If we ever meet again someday, I hope it will still be the same between us. I would not want us to be like two long-lost friends trying to make up conversations to fill in the awkward pauses.

I wish you all the best. In life, in love, in career, and in our constant pursuit to be a better person. May you and your loved ones be blessed with happiness, in this world and the Hereafter.

Til we meet again.
